Justin Russell

Full Stack Engineer, Technology Leader

Justin resides minutes outside the city of Portland on the Southern Coast of Maine. He currently serves as Chief Technology Officer for Club Locker, formerly as Principal Engineer at US Squash and Vice President of Engineering at iVantage Health Analytics.

As an experienced full stack engineer, Justin has a passion for front-end development, system design, enhancing developer experience, mentoring, and tackling difficult problems.

With a background in machine learning and data science, Justin is committed to continuous learning and professional growth. He is a multiple time conference speaker and the founding member of Aupathic, LLC.

Education

Justin received his master's degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Machine Learning from The Georgia Institute of Technology and his Bachelor of Science from Colby College with a focus in Mathematics, Computer Science, and Physics.

Interests

Squash ⚫ - The racquet sport. Justin can be found regularly on court at Portland Community Squash.

Running 🏃‍➡️ - Five marathons completed with plans for at least one more.

Games 🎲 - Primarily board and card games. Justin started playing Magic: The Gathering in 1994 and is currently deep in the world of KeyForge where he co-hosts and produces a weekly podcast focused on the design and strategy of the game.

Hiking ⛰️ - Justin has enjoyed some notable destination hikes, including Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania and the Inca Trail in Peru. Closer to home, he's working his way through the White Mountains of New Hampshire.
